Job Description : SIMONSWERK North America, a subsidiary of the German hardware manufacturer, SIMONSWERK GmbH, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager who will be responsible for continuing the brand development of the TECUTS and VARIANT product lines in the following areas of the Southern part of the United States: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas . The ideal candidate will be a driven individual interested in playing an important role in helping SIMONSWERK North America reach the next level of success. Success will require an entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a results-oriented environment.
Build and maintain relationships with distributors, independent sales representatives, architects and others to build awareness of the SIMONSWERK brand and product lines
Establish and manage a highly effective sales force with independent sales representatives
Provide technical support to SIMONSWERK distributors, sales representatives and end-user clients for entire product line (prospective candidate must be able to understand and demonstrate clear and comprehensive knowledge of door and hardware industry and products)
Present products to potential clients through various streams, including decorative and contract hardware distributors as well as wholesale channels
Develop and maintain relationships with architects, designers, hardware specification writers, millworkers and contractors
Attend trade shows and assists in the preparation of samples and promotional materials
Communicate customer product requirements with other departments such as marketing, manufacturing, engineering and internal sales
Respond to customer inquiries for products and pricing – maximizing the potential for converting leads to sales
Work with Regional Sales Manager to achieve related sales goals
Must be based in the Southern territory or willing to relocate (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas or Texas)
Ability to travel - this position requires a home-based office, up to 60% travel schedule within the Southern territory (close proximity to major airport preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
Proven success in managing and motivating independent sales representatives to keep a product line in the forefront of their sales plan
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
Must be able to present to large, diverse groups and facilitate customer trainings and informational sessions
Organizational and office skills and willingness to learn new applications
Strong knowledge and network of the door and hardware industry
