Well established Section 10 Manufactures Rep Agency is looking for a self-directed outside sales person. Commission and travel are an integral part of outside sales. Candidate should be based somewhere between Grand Rapids, MI and Indianapolis, IN.
The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed in this position and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
Manage a specified territory including regular travel.
Call on customers for regular territory sales growth and thorough canvassing.
Increase market penetration and grow market share for the manufacturers we represent.
Retain and service existing customers.
Find and retain new distribution when necessary.
Work closely with distributors and manufacturers to learn and market products.
Educate and influence customers and design and construction communities on the products we represent.
Assist customers in problem solving issues.
Assist customers with pricing and delivery of product.
Create and maintain long lasting partnerships with customers.
Coordinate and report ongoing efforts with Agency principals.
Have a good understanding of the distribution process

Have good verbal and written communication skills
Possess the ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively with customers and coworkers
Zero to two (0-2) years of outside sales experience or equivalency.
Ability to travel within assigned territory, sales meetings, industry conferences, and tradeshows as needed
