The Inside Sales Representative is a single point of customer contact responsible for all customer related functions from quote desk through order processing including customer service. The Inside Sales Representative serves the customer by responding to inquiries about products and services, resolving complaints, quoting and placing orders to ensure that the proper products are configured and shipped. This role contributes to the overall success of DCI by being a team player willing to step in as needed to do whatever it takes to ensure the customer has what they need when they need it.
Professionally handle customer requests using current and future information technology to ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
Respond to customer emails, quote requests or other electronic inquiry in a timely manner.
Ensure all order details are correct and complete.
Process customer RFP’s and quote requests.
Prepare data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information to establish entry priorities.
Interface with customers as necessary to ensure accurate and timely flow of orders.
Provide feedback to leadership to help resolve quality issues or operational improvements in regards to productivity and procedural changes.
Know and abide by all company rules and policies concerning safety and conduct, including the use and maintenance of required PPE.
Embrace the cross-training culture by a willingness to learn other jobs or tasks within the organization.
Education: An AA college degree or equivalent career experience.
At least five years in customer service or as an account manager with construction experience. Door and frame experience a plus.
Knowledge of hollow metal industry customers, products and market.
Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
Skill in negotiations, communications and providing customer support.
Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
