Chicago Doorways is looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager with proven success within the Door and Hardware Industry (Division 8 – material supply of frames, doors, and hardware). This person should excel at managing a wide variety of projects that vary in size and complexity.

Telecommuting will be considered for well-qualified candidates residing outside of the Chicagoland area only.
Duties and responsibilities:
Communicate clearly with estimators, customers, vendors, and management
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Utilize industry specific software to detail, organize, order, manage and track all materials and details of a project
Emullion (e/PWS) software experience a plus
Contract ERP software experience a plus
Research products, building codes, and functionality when necessary
Meticulously review documents for potential conflicts in operation of specified doors/hardware
Seek solutions for potential problems in plans and specs
Create and provide accurate project submittals including schedules, shop drawings and product literature for client review and approval
Determine quantities and material costs with accuracy
Generate purchase orders required for job materials and process change orders
Manage costs to maintain and improve profit margin
Coordinate deliveries with client according to construction schedule
Perform various other duties as required

Minimum 5 years industry experience as a Project Manager
High School diploma or equivalent
Comprehensive understanding of architectural door and hardware vendors, part numbers/nomenclature, and product applications
Full understanding of Microsoft Office business applications
