Join our growing team! We are looking for Project Managers to hit the ground running with projects of various sizes and complexities in our Tacoma, WA office. Remote work may be available, however preference will be given to local applicants that will work in-person
This position is responsible for managing a moderate to significant contract-based project workload. Our Project Managers are responsible for the following:
Organizing and aligning all project information and requirements
- Verbal and written communication with customers, vendors, architects and manufacturers
- Knowledge of project and all requirements
- Determine project timeline and required dates for material
- Complete field verification and attend jobsite/project/trade coordination meetings
- Review returned show drawings and submittals
Arranging the supply of Division 8 products and material
- Release project materials and product for purchase per approved schedules or contractor approval
- Coordinate frame fabrication
- Manage phasing of material
- Coordinate both in-house installation of hardware and field installation of doors, frames and hardware.
- Manage freight cost throughout shipping process
Propose, price and write changed orders and address other contractor/owner requests
- Problem solve with contractor or colleagues on project issues, changes, etc
- Prepare and submit project change order proposals
- Process change orders
- Handle product warranty issues and back charges
Other responsibilities
- Facilitate and complete close out requirements
- Participation in design-build projects
- Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators

- 2-year or 4-year degree in Construction Management or related field with minimum four years industry or project management experience
- DHT credential from the Door and Hardware Institute
- Extensive total opening experience: hardware, hollow metal, wood and specialty door knowledge
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software as well as industry specific applications (e.g. Protech, Titan)
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently without the involvement of a mentor
- High level of interpersonal skills and customer relations skills to handle a variety of situations
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service and handling complaints, settling disputes, negotiating terms/pricing, and resolving various issues
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify and evaluate complex problems, review related information and develop solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems, determine the best approach or option and implement solutions
- General knowledge of mathematic applications including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, fractions, and ratios
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
