Purchases commercial doors and frames at the wholesale level. Selects, orders and authorizes payment for material according to contractual agreements. Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. 

• Coordinates the purchase and subsequent delivery of doors and frames.
• Maintains electronic records of procurement documents, such as purchase orders and acknowledgments.
• Confirms vendor quote validity.
• Reviews purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy, and investigates any issues before contacting vendors.
• Selects, orders, or purchases material consistent with quality, quantity, and specification requirements.
• Confirms pricing, whether quoted or cash purchases.
• Handles expediting requests received from the Project Managers.
• Optimize purchases when available, to conserve freight.
• Communicates with vendors in writing and orally to follow-up on orders.
• Resolves all discrepancies and questions regarding purchases.
• Monitors the performance of contracted suppliers.
• Keeps manager updated on the performance of various suppliers, and recommends appropriate actions.
• Works with Accounts Payable to problem solve and facilitate the processing of invoices.

Requirements

• This is a full-time remote position requiring dedicated workspace and internet
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in Division 8
• Preferred Experience: Experience with Curries, Steelcraft and/or VT a plus
