Working with Hamer Door & Partitions as an Estimator, you will be focused on providing a take off for all of the materials that we sell. You will be working to identify these products by reviewing architectural plans and specifications. Then you will be entering detailed information about the products into our software program so them can be priced.

Once we are awarded a project, you will be tasked with detailing submittals.  This will entail creating schedules, shop drawings, and compiling cut sheets for the material that we will be providing.  

We use industry software (Software For Hardware) to assist with both estimating and detailing tasks. 

• 2+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
• Knowledge of commercial architectural products i.e: hollow metal frames and doors, wood doors, toilet accessories, toilet partitions, wall protection, etc.
• Proficient skills with reading architectural plans and specifications
• Extremely organized and detail oriented
• Advanced computer skills navigating Mac and PCs, utilizing PDF files, spreadsheets, and ability to learn industry specific software (Software For Hardware)
• Proficient with time management and staying focused to complete take offs by a required deadline
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work well with others
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn other aspects of the business
