Arconic Kawneer is currently in search of a DOOR HARDWARE SPECIALIST II to join our team.
This role will report to in Bloomsburg, PA but the candidate may reside in other Kawneer North America locations (including Cranberry, PA; Orlando, Fl; Norcross, GA; Visalia, CA; Dallas/Houston, TX).
This position is designed for an individual that has demonstrated an understanding of door, frame, hardware, and electronic access controls products and their applications.
Responsibilities
Assist Architects with choosing and writing project specifications pertaining to our doors, hardware (standard and non-standard), and the combination of both while staging our products for the best chance of securing both the door and hardware orders.
Review door hardware application at any stage of project (estimating, order entry, production), prepares door hardware quote/submittals as well as quality assurance compatibility checks for KaluCad material proposals
Provide exceptional service through interacting effectively and timely with internal and external customers, in determining door and door hardware application
Help maintain market expected lead time for order transfer after customer release of doors for production
Familiar with architectural plans and shop drawings / installation instructions as required for each project application, including reviewing/correcting door and door hardware information on shop drawings.
Interact and coordinate with door hardware suppliers including securing outside hardware pricing and ordering.
Help maintain date management against customer order schedules, and work with vendors / customers to achieve alternate solutions to meet installation demands
Familiar with and maintaining knowledge hardware products, specifically those that interact with doors and door hardware.
Stay well versed on updates from Hardware vendors, building codes, and hardware standards.
Maintain and continuously update door hardware application/compatibility databases

Recognized Door Hardware Institute certifications (Access Control System Consultant (ACSC); Door Hardware Specification Consultant (DHSC), or Door Hardware Consultant (DHT)
Legacy DHI certifications are also preferrable including EHC (Electrified Hardware Consultant), CDC (Certified Door Consultant), or AOC (Architectural Opening Consultant)
Two- or Four-year College Degree or 3 years industry experience in Commercial doors and door hardware.
