Rapid Door & Trim is seeking an Assistant Project Manager!

The Assistant Project Manager provides support to the Project Management Team. They assist with the organization, communication and flow of the project. They will work directly with clients and the project manager on evaluating the project needs, managing expectations, monitoring workflow and solving problems. 

Daily responsibilities of an APM include:

• Assist multiple Project Managers in various capacities.
• Administrative functions including; research, communication and job related paperwork.
• Detailed review of documents from customers and reporting/summarizing to PM
• Assist PM in detailing and submittals
• Procurement of material and labor at best prices and on schedule
• Work with field personnel to solve material and manpower issues.
• Provide weekly reporting on critical office “issues” (internal note: Examples “pinks, packs and negatives” reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Experience using SFH - Software for Hardware is a PLUS
• Knowledge of Division 8, division 6 and division 10 is a MUST
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project management.
• Possess physical and mental aptitudes and capabilities that will enable them to do the essential functions of the job.
• Possess ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write information, and request assistance. Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong at building relationships
• Persistent, creative and detail oriented
• Good mathematical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
