We are looking for a Division 8 Project Manager, to help us grow and strengthen our business relationships with our most strategic construction partners. The Project Manager is responsible for estimating, scheduling, operating and managing projects from concept to closeout. You will be working with some of our largest partners to help raise Washington Door and Hardware’s profile, align stakeholders and ensure activity and relationships are well-positioned to enable customer success and align with our corporate objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Manager:
Independently manages multiple large-scale projects (simultaneously). Ensure that all project-related work performed safely, timely, cost-effectively, and in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, company policies, and sound construction practices. Review all documents related to a project including; approved submittals, architectural plans, and specifications, hardware schedules, product fact sheet for material handling. Ensure field measurements are accurately noted. Purchase product for installation or modification. Construct orders for placement of all materials required for the project. Verify change order requests for accuracy. Track project cost as related to the general contractor and owner budgets. Contribute to a positive work environment and ensure teamwork within a project organization, utilizing the resources needed to drive quality and value to our clients.
Estimator:
Manage bid takeoff and proposal preparation. Estimating a project by using drawings and specifications, estimates costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to fulfill provisions of contracts. Ensure all project estimates are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the project. Provide the contractor with timely submittal packages.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Three years of experience in a commercial door company.
Familiar with most major manufacturers of commercial doors, frames, and hardware
Ability to read Architectural blueprints (Doors); project plans, specifications, door & hardware schedules
Must have exceptional customer service skills to build strong, trusted, and influential relationships with our key strategic customers
Ability to learn company software to create submittals for clients
Must possess a strong work ethic.
Excellent mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills
We require a willingness to work and learn.
Ability to follow company processes, accurately maintain accounts for time-worked
