Job Summary:

This position will accurately and precisely engineer (detail) the project based on contract, plans and specifications to:

1. Ensure the correct products are ready for the Project Manager to order.
2. Maximize profits.

This is a technical position which requires a thorough review of the contract plans and specifications in order to do a full detail of the project within our software system. 

Responsibilities include:

• Download and document / markup plans and specifications to transfer information to the Project Manager
• Negotiating supplier price and determining what manufacturer and products will be used in the project
• Create submittals for projects; perform final quality control review of submittals created by others
• Utilize Monday.com for communications and processes
• Bring to attention potential questions, coordination issues that may arise during the project cycle to include developing and ensuring solutions on technical issues involving door and hardware products

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extremely strong understanding of Div 8, doors, frames and hardware. 5+ years experience.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturers in the Div 8 space.
• A strong understanding of construction processes and project management.
• Possess ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write information, and request assistance. Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong at building relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
